Khyati School of Design has been set up to provide quality education to aspiring designers. Set in a green campus, specially designed for design learning, to hone the senses Khyati School of Design will look at global trends in teaching methods and curricula and apply localized versions of the same. Our faculty is experienced with several years in education and professional fields. Glass Blowing: Glass is thought to have come to India with the Muslim invaders. Firozabad in Uttar Pradesh developed as the main center for glass work. It met the royal demand for chandeliers, and made other small products like trinkets and glass vials for perfumes. The craftsmen for this workshop are coming all the way from Muradabad to teach a 400 year old craft.
Glass is a versatile material and is great for organic forms. Glassblowing is a technique that involves manipulation of molten glass with the use of a torch on a smaller scale. Once in a molten state, the glass is formed by blowing and shaping with tools and hand movements. Products made from this technique are widely used in home décor, corporate gifting and personal accessories.
