Trump Tariffs on Indian Basmati Rice: भारत और अमेरिका के बीच ट्रेड डील को लेकर बातचीत लगभग आखिरी लेवल पर पहुंच गई है. दूसरी तरफ भारत पर 50% टैरिफ लगाने वाले अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप अब नए टैरिफ की धमकी दे रहे हैं. दरअसल अब ट्रंप को भारत के चावल से दिक्कत है. वही चावल जिसे अमेरिकी पिछले कई सालों से बड़े चाव से खाते आ रहे हैं. ट्रंप की दिक्कत की असली वजह है..अमेरिकी किसानों को हो रहा नुकसान. इसी टेंशन की वजह से ट्रंप अब भारत से आने वाले चावल और कनाडा से आने वाली खाद पर एक्स्ट्रा टैरिफ लगाने पर विचार कर रहे हैं. उनका कहना है कि दूसरे देशों से आने वाला सस्ता सामान अमेरिकी किसानों को नुकसान पहुंचा रहा है। ट्रम्प ने यह बात सोमवार को व्हाइट हाउस में उस समय कही, जब वे किसानों के लिए नई आर्थिक मदद की घोषणा कर रहे थे। ट्रम्प ने कहा कि भारत, वियतनाम और थाईलैंड जैसे देश अमेरिका में बहुत सस्ता चावल बेच रहे हैं, जिससे यहां के किसानों की कमाई कम हो रही है। उन्होंने इसे 'डंपिंग' बताया और कहा कि ऐसा नहीं होना चाहिए.

He said that countries like India, Vietnam, and Thailand are selling rice very cheaply to the United States, reducing the income of local farmers. He called this "dumping" and said that this should not happen.
