About This Release:

Following the chart success of Prosper & Stabfinger's funk fused 'Fire in Me' EP, we now have a full remix ep from a collective of great artists who find ways to deliver a new take on the tracks. Moving the sound on in a more electronic direction, all 4 remixes keep the funk at their core. First up on the EP is an expertly crafted moombahesque rework from the enigmatic Loo & Placido which fuses Ashley Slater's blues soaked vocal lines with heavy rhythm and infectious carnival vibes. This is set to do damage on many a dance floor. Next up, AGFA & Trotter deliver a funky breaks and electronica rework of 'Drive By Pony' which is followed on by Kibosh who are not happy to remix just the one track but fuse two together to make 'Fire My Pony', a funk exploration that incorporates Kibosh's forward thinking funked out, bass glitch sound. Rounding off the package superbly are Lois (fr) & Fruckie who bring together a relentless acid groove to compliment Ashley Slater's vocals to create another infectious monster. This is an essential release from Bombstrikes.
