Hong Kong’s Government Flying Services has released a clip of its officers flying into the eye of Super Typhoon Ragasa. The mission, conducted using a Challenger 605 plane, took place on September 23, 2025, capturing wind speeds exceeding 135 km/h (81mph), 120km (75 miles) from the eye of the storm. Crews normally deploy meteorological data detectors to help forecasters determine the strength and direction of major storms threatening Hong Kong.
