The ferns that I am using in this project are pteris cretica albolineata also known as Variegated Cretan Brake Fern, Evergemiensis Pteris ensiformis with common name Variegated Brake Fern. Pteris cretica mayii or ribbon fern. I also use a maiden fern, adiantum caudatum.
I also add a Chamaedorea elegans 'Variegata' Variegated parlour palm
and one Asparagus Fern or else known as Asparagus setaceus, asparagus grass, lace fern, climbing asparagus, or ferny asparagus.

Plant ferns and similar plants to them in well-draining soil. Ferns aren’t choosy about their soil, however, their roots don’t do great if they are continuously wet (eventually root rot). That is why we need to select a well-draining potting mix.
Keep the soil moist. Ferns are water-loving plants, they do excellent in soil that is evenly and consistently moist. These plants are happy when you water them fully every time you feel that the surface of the soil is beginning to dry out. As a word of caution try not to get in the habit of overwatering and having them in soggy soil for a long period of time, because this can lead to a bacterial or fungal infection, root rot. I like to use often a small amount of fertilizer in my plants, I find that this helps them keep up their growth game.
Mist as often as you want (leave time for the water to evaporate in between). Ferns love high humidity; that is why they’re a preferred type of plant for terrariums and tanks. Like in this video that we are using ferns in the old aquarium, creating an open terrarium. If your fern fronds are browning at the tips or if you’re no longer seeing a lot of new, strong growth, mist them with a water bottle to keep them moist, or think about putting up a humidifier nearby. Keep your ferns away from dry air sources like windows, doors, or machines like kitchen furnaces and heaters.
Place in medium to bright indirect light. Since ferns grow under trees in the forest, we understand that they like filtered or indirect light instead of direct sunlight. The number one location for ferns is in a south-facing or north-facing window; if you prefer to put them close to an east-facing or west-facing window, place them a few metres away from the window or have a sheer curtain to avoid sunburns. You don’t have to have a natural bright light room to cultivate ferns, I use led lights for mine and they do pretty well. Some varieties like maidenhair ferns and asparagus (which is not a fern but acts similarly) can tolerate low-light conditions, but I wouldn’t say that they will thrive. There is no plant in the world that loves no light or super low light conditions. Some of them can survive but their growth will be stunned sooner or later. I always advise having at least artificial lights to support your plant’s growth.
