In order to unlock the Double Catch achievement, you must catch two fish with one cast of your fishing rod. You will either need the Depth Catcher fishing rod or use a Fishing Potion to be able to catch two fish at once, so you will need to find, or craft, one of these items.

The Depth Catcher can be found in chests in the Forest Deep cave biomes. I don't know how rare they are, but I found one in the second Forest Deep cave that I went into. Alternatively, you can craft one at a Fallen Anvil with 20 Shadow Essences, but you will need to be able to do incursions to get this material.

Fishing Potions can be crafted at an Alchemy Table by combining 2 worm bait, 2 gobfish and a glass bottle. This would be the faster way to unlock the achievement, as these ingredients are very easy to get. If you make a Fishing Potion, you won't need the Depth Catcher, and can fish with any rod.

Both of these items give you plus one fishing line, with the Fishing Potion lasting for 5 minutes. Now you will also need some bait. Any bait will work, but I would suggest at least getting some swamp larva by cutting grass in a swamp biome, or purchasing Angler Bait from an Angler. These have a much better fishing power than normal worms.

Once you have the Depth Catcher or Fishing Potion with any fishing rod, and some bait, head to a body of water and cast your lines. What you need to do is wait for 2 ripples in the water to get to your lines at the same time and then reel them in. If the timing is correct, and you reel in 2 fish at the same time, the achievement will unlock!
