Come hike the national parks with me! They need us now more than ever.

Right now, 75% of U.S. national parks are at risk. A proposed $1 billion cut to the National Park Service, the largest in its 109-year history, threatens access, jobs, wildlife protection and education across more than 430 parks. That includes Zion, the Grand Canyon and Monument Valley.

That’s why I’m hosting one of Intrepid Travel’s new Active-ism: Zion & the Grand Canyon trips on April 14 to 18, 2026. We’ll walk the rim of the Grand Canyon, explore Zion’s sandstone cliffs, and take a guided tour of Monument Valley with Navajo hosts who will share the history and culture of this land.

This trip is about more than taking in the views. It’s about hiking through some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the country, sharing stories, and connecting with people who care deeply about nature.

And what is SUPER exciting is that with this trip series, Intrepid has committed to donate $50,000 USD(!!!) on behalf of its travelers to NGOs protecting the U.S. national parks.
