On October 4, 2018, Prof. Chidi Oguamanam of the University of Ottawa spoke about the mandate of the Intergovernmental Committee on Intellectual Property and Genetic Resources, Traditional Knowledge and Folklore (IGC). He discussed the underlying dynamics and tensions that continue to shape deliberations at the IGC and provided personal insights based on his own experience as a participant in the IGC negotiations.
