Louis Murphy performs at Swede Hollow Cafe for the St Paul Literary festival 2014.

Louis Murphy is a graduate of Metropolitan State University, and is currently pursuing an MFA in Creative Writing at Hamline University in Saint Paul, MN. His work can be found in: SleetMagazine.com; rock, paper, scissors -- the Journal of the MFA Program at Hamline University; The 2012 Saint Paul Almanac; and in Haute Dish -- the Online Journal of Metropolitan State. Sometimes he can be heard reading as a participant in The Riot Act Reading Series, and with Cracked Walnut, in the Twin Cities. He enjoys creating visual art as well, and performing and recording music. He lives with his partner, artist Mariah B. Heck.

The St Paul Literary festival was a series of 25 readings happening on a daily basis- each reading happening in a different place in St. Paul to celebrate the launch of the St Paul Almanac, 2014 edition. The festival readings is brought to you by the St Paul Almanac and Satish Jayaraj's Cracked Walnut.

The Saint Paul Almanac is a literary organization that creates opportunities for understanding, learning, and building relationships through sharing people's stories.
