Boy Kills World (2024) directed by Moritz Mohr is one of the craziest films I have seen this year so far, it essentially is a action thriller wherein the protagonist is blinded by revenge against a authoritarian of a dystopian world named Hilda Van der koy for killing his entire family just when he was a teenager, how the kid under the tutelage of a derelict in the jungle turns into a killing machine and eventually sets off for his one true purpose I.e. to destroy the van der koys, is the gist of this film.

To put it simply this film is not for the faint hearted, it is so graphic in its fight scenes which is basically most of the film, that I was mostly squirming while watching it, though it was quite enjoyable but this stuff could give serious nightmares after one viewing, I mean I am talking about a friend👀

The script establishes that the protagonist is a deaf and mute person, resorting to the narrator taking charge to help us understand the characters thoughts, the choice they went with for the voiceover felt like I was a watching a international film dubbed in English, I kinda found it weird in the beginning but towards the end kinda became indifferent to it as the action and visuals took charge of the narrative.

The film features alot of high octane action scenes paired with groovy music, quite reminiscent of the style used in Edgar wrights Movies, which I enjoyed a lot.

A really great recommendation for sleepover sessions with the gang I would say, a badass action flick along with some cold ones is nothing more like it, I mean that’s how I watched the film.
