Just to see what is happening deep in the timber, Carsen and I went up the ridges to my best spot. This was pay dirt last year and it may be pay dirt again this year once the rut comes, but right now it is pretty dead up there. Not much sign. We discuss why this area is so much different this year from last year and where the deer are at this time.
