Google Photos now offers two major AI-powered creative tools, rolled out free for Android and iOS users in the U.S.
Photo-to-Video: Transform any still photo into a 6-second animated clip using Google’s Veo 2 model. You select from preset prompts like “Subtle movements” or “I’m feeling lucky” to generate the animation.
Remix Feature: Using Google’s Imagen AI, Remix instantly re-styles photos into formats such as anime, comics, sketches, or 3D art.

How to use it?
In your google photos section you will see a "Create" tab

It will be serving as a centralized hub for:
• Photo-to-Video
• Remix
• Collages
• Highlight videos and more

The tools are marked as “experimental”, and Google is requesting user feedback (via thumbs-up/down) to refine and improve performance over time.

These updates align with Google's broader expansion of generative AI, complementing similar capabilities in YouTube Shorts, where users can animate photos and apply visual effects like underwater scenes or selfie duplicates, accessed via a new AI Playground.
