From the lost gem of an album called 'Presenting Patricia Routledge', yes this is Hyacinth Bucket herself singing a very pretty rendition of the show-tune "And I Was Beautiful" from the musical 'Dear World'.

I was surprised to discover that not only was Patricia a very accomplished singer with a voice of astonishing clarity and expression, but she was also a Broadway actress in her day and won the Tony for best actress in the 1968 production of 'Darling of the Day'.

In a way, it's a real shame that her legacy will be her role in Keeping Up Appearances when she is obviously such an amazing talent.
