Mastering the Natural Guitar Finish!

Hey everyone!

A little something new today! I joined my good friend Tye with Shock The Fox Guitars and learned his secret techniques on creating a natural looking oil finish on one of his custom guitars! The best part is, we got to convince StewMac to let us do it in their shop! We had a great time working together on this and I learned a lot about what it takes to make a guitar shine! Oh, and this process can be applied to any wood working project, not just guitars!

Thanks to everyone who helped make this happen. StewMac for the facility and opportunity to work with them, SurfPrep for their durable and reliable abrasives and sanders, Walrus Oil for an easy to apply and great product in their Furniture Butter, and Total Boat for the High Performance to seal the wood grain and fill those pores! Lastly, Tye for all of the inspiration and helping assisting me in building my first full guitar from scratch! I cant wait to build some more and share them with everyone!
