This audio was recorded by a fan and later turned up on a Byrds bootleg entitled 'Screenshots: 1965-1971'. The recording date has often been listed as July 13th in Burbank, CA, or July 24th. The Tonight Show didn't move to Burbank until 1972, and while July 24th made sense given that the band played the Village Theater in Manhattan on the 22nd (the venue name changed to the Fillmore East in 1968) and Central Park on the 28th, I checked the TV listings in the New York Times and found mention of them appearing on the 25th, as shown in the video. The other pictures are largely taken from Getty Images, including some great shots of the band performing at the Whisky a-Go-Go in late summer 1967.
