Photoshop Tip: How To Get Back An Erased Background | Is Using Layer Mask Still Relevant?

Over the years, the best way one will be able to get an erased or transparent background in photoshop is to make use of the layer mask. The question is, if you use the eraser tool to erase an image or to make it transparent, is there not a way to get it back?

In this video, we take a simple look at how to get such erased backgrounds back. This however works only in the main image document you're working in, it doesn't work when you send the image over to a different document.

That also proves the fact that, still using the layer mask is the best option for getting back erased or transparent backgrounds.
