Motorcycle Camping Gear Review: Snugpak Tent, Sleeping Bag, and Pad + Pack Tap, Pillow, and Mess Kit

I've put my moto camping gear kit to the test on a few trips now, and now it's time to share my thoughts in a full motorcycle camping gear review so that you know which of these items is a must buy and which of them you should pass by in your search for quality motocamping gear. I originally ordered this gear from MotoCampNerd.com with the idea of creating a complete beginner camping gear kit for less than $500. After I received it, it was time to put the gear to the test and make sure that the motorcycle camping sleeping bag, tent, cooking setup, water carrier, air mattress, and pillow I had recommended were going to work well for most motorcycle campers.

I'm happy to report that for the most part, I'm really happy with this gear. The UST Trekker Stove, Sea to Summit Pack Tap, UST Spright Lantern, Sea to Summit Titanium Silverware, and Sea to Summit X21 cook set worked flawlessly and exceeded my expectations. The same cannot be said for my Snugpak Travelpak 4 sleeping bag and Snugpak Ionosphere tent, as I had a decidedly mixed experience with both of these items.
