The cycle of violence continues in Manipur. At least two people were killed in fresh firing between two groups in Imphal West. The gunfight broke between village volunteers of two communities at Koutruk village, on the border of the Imphal West and Kangpokpi districts. Manipur has been on the boil since May 3, 2023 when ethnic violence first erupted in the northeastern state.
