The men and women of the Snohomish County Helicopter Rescue Team are amazing at the life-saving services they provide. On August 19th I had the privilege of playing rescue subject, and got to use the "Screamer Suit." It's a rescue device that's used for subjects not in critical condition and is worn somewhat like a vest. It has a couple holes for your arms to go through, a strap that comes up between the legs and some hardpoints to connect the helicopter hoist to. As the hoist begins to lift, the subject (me, in this case) simply sits back and enjoys the ride up, comfortably on their back. Just hold on to the straps to keep your arms out of everyone's way and let the rescuers do the rest.
