Описание к видео Top Speed: 12 MPH | Swappable Battery | Honda Fastport eQuad Prototype 2026

Honda’s New Electric Delivery Quadricycle Has Swappable Batteries, Suitable for Bike Lanes.

The eQuad, currently a prototype, will pioneer a new Fastport B2B sub-brand and help deliver goods to urban areas.

The job of delivering goods is a huge and complex one, made even more complicated by dense urban areas where demand is high and streets are congested. Introducing the Fastport eQuad, a new, all-electric quadricycle from a new Honda subsidiary. While just a prototype for now, the eQuad has been designed with urban congestion in mind and will offer a variety of features and sizes to suit the challenges of last-mile delivery.

Honda’s Fastport eQuad is a new electric quadricycle for urban deliveries that features swappable batteries, customizable cargo dimensions, and bike lane compatibility. It has a top speed of 12 mph and will debut at Eurobike 2025, with deliveries set to begin later this year.

Fastport is Honda’s B2B business and micromobility arm. On Tuesday, it announced its first product will be the eQuad, which delivery drivers will use to get your goods to you more efficiently and safely.

The company claims that this four-wheeler prioritizes driver comfort, with Honda’s own engineering in the chassis design ensuring a comfortable ride even over bumpy city blocks. That’s fine, but the rest of the driver comfort list is far from the kind of basic amenities you’d find in any modern Honda passenger vehicle, for example. Delivery drivers are excited about the full front guard for protection from the elements, a ventilation fan, and a UV-coated canopy with a ceramic color option.

Swappable rechargeable batteries will theoretically reduce the time spent waiting to recharge. Plus, an all-electric setup means no additional noise or emissions pollution. There’s a pedal-operated pedal-assist powertrain, automatic parking brakes, and regenerative braking.

Both small and large cargo box container sizes will be offered depending on regional needs. The vehicle length is also customizable, meaning customers can load a variety of goods, such as groceries, packages, or small packages. The eQuad can also fit in bike lanes, which should reduce traffic congestion.

Two sizes will be offered. The small eQuad is about 11 feet long, just under 7 feet high, and 3 feet wide, while the large model is about 12 feet long, 7 feet high, and 4 feet wide. The small cargo box is about 6.3 feet long, 4.8 feet high, and 3.2 feet wide; the largo cargo box is about 7.4 feet long, 5 feet high, and 4 feet wide.

The maximum payload for the small version is 320 pounds and the large version is 650 pounds, and at its maximum payload, the large version can travel up to 23 miles. There’s no word yet on range for the smaller version. Both versions can travel at a maximum speed of 12 mph.

That’s not all. The eQuad will also be equipped with software-defined platform features such as maintenance and service plans, AI-powered instrument clusters to assist with driver and fleet management operations, and over-the-air software updates.

Honda plans to unveil its prototype at the Eurobike 2025 event in Frankfurt, Germany, in late June. No pricing has been announced yet, but deliveries of the first-edition models are scheduled to begin later this year. A full launch is expected next summer.
