0:00 - Changing Object Color
Select an object.
Open the Material Properties tab within the Properties panel. It has a black and red circular icon.
Within the Surface section is the Base Color option.
Click on the color rectangle to open up the color options.
The Hex section allows for the direct input of a 6 digit Hex code. This type of color is frequently used on the web.
The RGB and HSV modes both contain 3 sliders. Click and drag with the mouse to change the value. Click once in the field to allow for a number to be manually entered. Press Enter or Tab to commit the entry.
Colors can be visually selected using the color wheel and the vertical slider. The colors are distributed around the circle with saturation at the maximum around the edge. The vertical slider essentially controls brightness.

2:35 - Displaying Object Color
The main window is the 3D Viewport. In the upper right corner of this window are 4 buttons for the various Viewport Shading modes. The first two modes, Wireframe and Solid, do not display an object's color. The last two modes, Material Preview and Rendered, do display an object's color.

3:50 - Changing Color of New Objects
When adding a new object such as an Ico Sphere, the Material Properties tab within the Properties panel will be empty. To display the settings, including Base Color, click the New button.
