October 15, 2025 --SBTC Executive Director James Lamb explains the latest development in the ongoing TQL Broker Transparency saga... SBTC's five-and-a-half-year-long, ongoing quest to strengthen and enforce the 49 CFR 371.3 broker transparency regulation, outlaw contractual waivers that brokers use to unlawfully deregulate themselves, evade regulation in violation of 49 U.S. Code § 14906 and possibly the Unreasonable Restraint of Trade provisions of the Sherman Antitrust Act. Comes now, the SBTC filing a complaint to Secretary Duffy pursuant to 49 U.S. Code §14701(b) and 49 U.S. Code § 13905 seeking the suspension or revocation of Total Quality Logistics' (TQL) Property (Freight) Broker License for willful failure to comply with 49 CFR 371.3.
