Circadian rhythms don’t stop at the brain -- peripheral clocks tick inside nearly every cell of the body. We examine how organs like the liver, heart, and muscles follow circadian patterns, why coordination with the SCN is vital, and how feeding cycles and light cues influence cellular rhythms. Drawing on studies from Satchidananda Panda’s lab, we highlight how disruptions in these clocks can lead to impaired physiology and metabolic health.
