The Legend Of Joe Baldwin is a hard rock ghost story about a railroad worker in the 1800s that got decapitated in a train accident, and whose headless body wanders the tracks at night with a lantern looking for his lost head. Featuring the music of Rio Mihal and made by Obscura Films.

This black and white version of the video is kind of a tribute to vintage horror movies. We hope you enjoy!

Sit down boys and girls, and I’ll tell you a tale
Bout a ghost that walks the tracks down by the Maco rail
It was a moonless night, water hung in the air
Swamp reached up around to take what might be there

Joe hung from the railcar, deep the fog so thick
Waved his lantern wildly, handrail wet and slick
Peering through the wet mist another train glides through
Lost his grip on the handrail, lantern knocked from view

Thrown beneath the engine, fate it could be said
Took Joe’s restless body when the train took his head
Wet wheels finished passing from that final ride
Sucking on his skull bones the swamp was satisfied, yeah

Don’t seek out the dead man that’s looking for his head
Because that cat will strike you down, pay heed to what Ive said
He’ll cut your neck from throat to bone and try it on for size
Then he’ll feed it to that swamp and again to search he’ll rise

Now steamy nights in Maco folks go to the rail
To see the lantern searching for the head that’s in this tale
Unsuspecting lovers parked down by the tracks
Maimed right through the windshield by headless Joe’s attack, yeah
