In our eighth installment of Dead Space, we rejoin Isaac Clarke in the mining deck, with orders to recover the S.O.S. beacon from the maintenance sub-deck, so he can fire it off on an asteroid into space. I feel like that was a run on sentence but I'm just going to leave it lol. We buy some health from the store (we really need it) and then we head off to the maintenance sub-deck! Once down there, the place is crawling with necromorphs, of course, and we have to take a creepy like hover bridge thing it was a lot. I guess a form of a gondola? I don't know what they're called. We even see Nicole and she helps us open a locked door, it was all very weird. Anyway we find the S.O.S. beacon and then we're headed back to the mining sub-deck to put it on an asteroid and send it out somewhere it could possibly reach help. But first, we check out the new schematic for a higher level suit (it's super expensive, we can't afford it), and we upgrade our plasma cutter! After that's done with, it's off to the mining sub-deck! There's a bunch of necromorphs down there, who would've thunk, and when we finally do get to the mining bay with the asteroid, it takes me a while to figure out how to safely place the beacon, and release the asteroid. I looked it up. There, I admitted it. Anyway, we get that done, and then we head over to the control room to launch the asteroid. We do so successfully, and then receive a call from Kendra telling us how she's still having hallucinations and also that the communications array receiver isn't responding. So obviously it's up to us to check that out. Also, still no sign of Hammond. We head back to the tram so we can make it over to the bridge, fighting necromorphs along the way, and upgrading our plasma cutter once more! Once we arrive at the bridge, Kendra calls again saying a military ship just shocked in nearby, which is great news! We just have to get that communications array working so we can let them know we're alive. Anyway right after that we barely survive a quarantine with an onslaught of necromorphs, and then call it a day. Thank you so much for watching!
