When you think about all the positions in baseball, what positions would you say get the most balls hit to them? You’re probably thinking shortstop, maybe second base – or really any position in the infield.

But, I can almost guarantee that the outfield positions didn’t cross your mind at all, especially in youth baseball.
But even though the outfield positions don’t get as much action as the infield, that doesn’t mean they’re not important to the game.
