10 Gmail Tips For Productivity

In this video, I give you 10 tips to help you be more PRODUCTIVE in Gmail.

My name is Doug Cunnington and I'm the founder of Niche Site Project, where I talk about Amazon Affiliate Sites, Internet Marketing, and Productivity.

So - why is Gmail so special?

To be honest, I use gmail for pretty much every email address that I have. And there are some really cool tricks that you can do with gmail that I think are super useful.

The first one is placing periods in the address. This is an awesome way to divide things up and see that google treats these email addresses as the same.

The second one is adding a '+' at the end of the address. This is an amazing way to sort your emails, and apply a label to them to keep things organized.

The third is some cool keyboard shortcuts. Just click the '?' and you are able to see the keyboard shortcuts

The next three are using the gmail extension called 'Boomerang'. I highly recommend this extensions. It can do three awesome things I like to use.

Through Boomerang - The first is an email comeback to your inbox. Super great way to keep track of responses to emails and a great way to clear out your inbox.

Another Boomerang feature is the delay sending an email. You can send emails at a specific time or hours/days later than when you type out the email.

The last feature that I really like about Boomerang is the pause button. You can pause your inbox to stop receiving emails or turn on an auto responder.

Another one that is very useful is using gmail offline. In case you are traveling or you don't have an internet connection - you can still use gmail without the distraction of being connected to the internet. This is a great productivity hack as well.

Number eight is a 'reply all' setting. Super nice to have this just in case you do want to reply all if you have a bunch of similar emails.

Nine is the Send and Archive tool, this button allows you to send your reply and then you can archive the inbox so you don't see the email anymore. This is a great way to keep your inbox clean.

Last tip that I use for all my emails is routing all email addresses to gmail. It took me a bit to get used to this but I really enjoy the features of using Gmail to do all of these things as well as manage projects.
