Luka Modric has been a key player for Real Madrid for over a decade now. The Croatian is one of the best midfielders the game has ever seen and he continues to perform at a very high level, even at 37 years of age. One of his greatest traits is his ability to rise to the occasion and perform in the biggest games, when the pressure is highest.

As a result, Modric’s recent injury will have come as bad news for Real Madrid. Especially with the club having some huge matches coming up.

Real Madrid are a week away from the Copa del Rey final against Osasuna. And in the game after that, they will be taking on Manchester City at Santiago Bernabeu in first leg of the semi-final of the UEFA Champions League.

Initially, the rumours suggested that Modric was ruled out of the Copa del Rey final and it was a doubt whether he would be able to feature against Manchester City in the first leg. But now, things seem to have taken a bit of a twist.

As reported by Sport Klub, Modric has sought help from Marijana Kovacevic’s office, which has become widely known for its methods of treating muscle injuries. It should be predicted that the Croatian’s injury will improve faster than expected.

It remains to be seen if Modric does recover in time to feature against Osasuna in the upcoming Copa del Rey final. His presence will be even more important though, when Real Madrid welcome Manchester City to Santiago Bernabeu just three days later.

Let’s see how things play out over the coming days. If Modric does not manage to recover in time, one would hope that Real Madrid have enough options to deal with the Croatian’s absence.
