Ahead of the election, police have carried out several security checks in different parts of the country. During these inspections, a number of individuals were detained and suspicious materials were recovered. In Birgunj, police detained several individuals who were allegedly attempting to create religious tension. According to police, several prohibited materials and pig heads purchased from a meat shop were recovered from the group.

In another incident, Manoj Kumar Chaudhary, a candidate contesting from Parsa Constituency-2, was detained after authorities discovered suspicious materials inside a vehicle during a routine security inspection.

Similarly, in Siraha Constituency-3, Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal candidate Asheshwar Yadav was also detained after police recovered NPR 487,000 in cash from a vehicle during the election silence period.

Authorities say these operations are aimed at maintaining law and order and ensuring that the election is conducted peacefully across the country.

At the same time, citizens are being urged to remain alert and report any activities that violate election rules. Voters are also encouraged to participate responsibly and cast their votes at their designated polling stations.

The upcoming election is considered an important moment for Nepal’s democratic process, as the results will shape the country’s political direction for the next five years.
