Pilot episode of "The Corky Hale Show," 1980's cable program starring singer-jazz harpist-pianist Corky Hale. Joining her on this initial show is her husband of more than 50 years, legendary songwriter Mike Stoller of Leiber-Stoller fame, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and Songwriters Hall of Famer. Writer of such classic hits as "Hound Dog," "Kansas City," "Stand By Me," "On Broadway," "Is That All There Is?" and countless others, including the entire score of the Broadway hit "Smokey Joe's Cafe". He sings and plays a medley of his hits. Corky has played for countless stars from Billie Holiday, Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett, to Barbra Streisand and George Michael. Corky sings and plays "I Want to Be Happy" and "My Funny Valentine". Also appearing are songwriters Tom Kelly and Billy Steinberg, who wrote Madonna's "Like a Virgin," among many other hits.
