Isonzo - All Reload Animations in 15 Minutes

I forgot to remove the warning from Carcano rifle. Sorry about that. Also I still cannot find that Gebirgskanone cannon thing. So doesn't exist okay?

A WW1 FPS game set in Italian front from 1915 to 1917 with weapons include pistols, rifles, melee, machine guns, and other experimental weapons.

I really don't like this game, to be fair, even in my first impression. I was hyped to play it since their previous games I played were awesome and ones that grew my channel. While Verdun wasn't fun on trench combat, I do enjoy it's experimental weapons. I love Tannenberg the most as it felt open level. But for Isonzo, it tries to be both Verdun and Tannenberg. Turns out they threw everything what I loved about the two older games and instead goes with progression system. That gave me a headache to play this game. Biggest changes is I feel like it has less weapons and lacking content. Only content they focused too much on are cosmetics and goddamn the DLCs are overpriced. I didn't buy them and you shouldn't either.

Gameplay goes first. I like the weapon handling as shooting feels smooth compared to it's snappy shooting from the previous games. It has realistic recoil and movement. While they removed the squads, it is exchanged for selecting own weapons and equipment plus cosmetics. Compared to other WW1 games and their previous installments, this is much slower pace due to everyone now have to use bolt action rifles and experimental weapons are limited to one player at the time. So yes it is an improvement from older games to make it more WW1 feeling. However getting killed in this game is like no idea who shot ya and very unpredictable. Even more so than Verdun and Tannenberg. Annoying.

The maps are gorgeous. I loved the Alps mountains and the Gorizia city. Althought I wish that city level should been expanded for more urban combat than having open space. If looking for trench combat, Carso and beginning Gorizia level seem to be best one. Problem is they feels linear and too similar to BF1's Conquest Assault. No it is, not because of factions are unbalanced, but depending on terrain it can be really unfair. For example, Dolomiti map on Austro-Hungarians have the high ground and Italian side have difficulty to capture the top of the montains as enemies are hiding behind sheds. So only way to win is to camp the shed's roof and pick them off. Goriza's train station is really hard as it felt too dark to see the Austro-Hungarians in the indoors and they can see Italians outside just fine. Cengio and Fior are fucking terribe maps as there's too much trees and felt way too linear out of all the maps. Finally for Sabotino, oh my fucking god, it's that hard as the Italian side as I feel like Austro-Hungarians spawn way too close on the objectives. Only good map is Carso as, many stated, the most balanced as there's no distractions or high grounds whatsoever.

The classes system seems sketchy. But it's more individual than squad play. No difference. So I am not going to talk about that. But the only I will talk about is I hate bots are no longer your squad. So if playing alone, spawning to the trenches is merger.

Unlocking all the weapons is painful. I don't like playing with players since they have too good of aiming me dead without missing their shot and constantly air supports which is fucking annoying! Playing with bots and in Carso map is the best for me as playing offense gives more points when capturing objectives.

Now let's talk about weapon animations and sounds. My god they're pretty buggy that they sometimes fidget. Pistols' animations are the worst. While yes they do have tatical animations, it's pretty much first time adding that feature. So they better fix that shit. The rifles are okay, mostly the enbloc clips. But for ones that have to be loaded individually is below average. Machine gun reloads are really nice, too. Overall the weapon animations are not better than their previous games. I get they are trying to make it smooth than snappy. While the reload sounds are crunchy for the Italian rifles, the guns that were used from previous games were essentially a reuse. Face palm. Now for gun sounds, they okay. But some say they're bad as Verdun's first day of released and sounded weaker.

And no I can't find the Austro-Hungarian cannon and never will! I tried finding it but couldn't.

Is it worth to buy this game? Not really as the game lacks content and isn't worth $25 along with greedy DLCs. I say it's better priced as $15 or $20. Until they add big content then the base price should have been stayed in first place.

If I miss anything, let me know down the comments as usual.

Goddamn it! I ran out of description to fit my time stamps. Oh well. I will put the stamps in the pin comment instead. Anyways enjoy this long awaited ASMR WW1 weapon reloads.
