This is a reading from Old Samoa or Flotsam and Jetsam from the Pacific by Reverend John B. Stair. This was probably written in the late 1800's and then published some time in the 1908's. This source is not an accurate picture of traditional religion as the author was bias against native spiritual practices but also did not witness them firsthand as they were already going extinct by the time he arrived. However it does provide some truthful information but how much is probably up for debate.
