A little insight and perspective into the wonderful world of Aerial Fire Fighting with Helicopters in Tasmania, Australia.

On this day we had a small fire pop up in someones backyard only 3 miles from our fire base.
We used a 214ST and a 214B to calm down the flames to buy the crews on the ground some more time.
The 214's both have belly tanks which make them perfect for fires in urban environments.
the whole exercise only took around 40 minutes from skids up to skids down.
