Some people who were traumatized instinctively put all their attention on other people, especially in romantic relationships. This codependent behavior feels innocent to the person who thinks they're just being supportive, asking a lot of questions, and being thoughtful. But those on the receiving end often feel manipulated and drained by this dynamic. In this video I answer a letter from a woman who finds herself overly focused (in a fawning way) on men who aren't available, and dismissive of those who have feelings for her.
