Hope front hub: maintenance

In this video we will show how to check parts and maintain your front Hope hub.
Today we’re going to see how to maintain our Hope front hub. In this case we have a 20mm axle but for other sizes the procedure is the same.
To do that we are going to use a sharp tool. In case of need we would use a second one. What we are going to do is to remove internal snap rings that keep collars in place, remove collar, clean everything and grease a little bit the bearings.
Now we are going to remove snap rings like that.
Dissasemble this collar.
And then other side.
With a clean rag or workshop paper clean bearings and collar housing, check that bearings turn freely and grease slightly this area.
Once done, clean collars and install in the reverse order.
Check that snap rings are correctly fitted by pulling the collar out. If it doesn’t jump out then the snap ring is well installed.
Install one end, sink it and push the other end down.
