The Split Rock Resort started as a company treat for the Lehigh Coal & Navigation Co. in the early forties.

Over the years it grew into a popular vacation retreat for families of all kinds.

The resort maintained a ski hill up until 2004, when they decided to close operations. T

he twin resorts of Jack Frost & Big Boulder had developed far beyond what their modest 250 foot hill could offer, and were each located only about 5 miles away from the resort.

Recent snow made skiing there a possibility once again

In our opinion a small rope tow or carpet would be a great feature to offer access to the hill when natural snow permits if we didn't have to consider the economics of it or modern liability concerns

Maybe if we hit the lottery we can launch a program...
