In this time-lapse video, SpaceX rolls a Falcon Heavy to the launch pad on the evening of Oct. 25. The rocket went upright in the early hours of Oct. 27. More than three years after the Falcon Heavy last blazed a path into orbit, the rocket is finally set to fly again on a long-delayed national security mission for the U.S. Space Force.

The rocket is not fitted with its payload fairing because SpaceX will perform a static fire test of the Falcon Heavy's 27 first-stage engines. After the static fire the rocket will be rolled back to the hangar and the Space Force payloads enclosed in the fairing will be attached. A firm launch date will be set after the test but liftoff is currently scheduled for no earlier than Monday, Oct. 31.
