Nice Dream - Radiohead piano cover

Nice Dream! This is an.. easy to overlook track from Radiohead's 2nd album, "The Bends." But I secretly love this song so of course I wanted to cover it. The Bends, as I've stated in my recent Radiohead Albums Tier List video - is a solid album filled with good songs. It doesn't have anything earth-shattering or mind-blowingly amazing like In Rainbows or OK Computer, but it is just good.... good songs all the way through. And that actually maybe, makes it more than good. It's pretty great for me.

This song comes in the middle of the album and is definitely a kind of, skippable song. It can feel like "filler" with this track and Bones, until you get to the songs Just and Iron Lung. But like I said, this album is filled with good songs. So even though it may feel like "filler"... it's surprisingly good once you give it a closer listen.

I always discover interesting chord progressions when I cover radiohead songs. Parts of this song are very simple, common chords to pop and rock music. Other parts are more interesting, more complex and more distinct. I love radiohead for being able to do that. Appealing music that always has something a little extra, a little more interesting.
