Sewing Pattern Review | Burda | Vogue | Ottobre | New Look | Frocks & Frolics

In this Video we are looking at sewing patterns, so you, as a beginner have a decent overview.. AAs a textiles teacher I have worked with Burda, Vogue, Simplicity, McCall's, Butterick and New Look in my classroom. Even though expensive, my advise was to purchase Vogue sewing patterns, as they have a very good fit. I also very much like Burda and the Burda Style magazine for a quick sew. Not my favorite is New Look, but like always that is based on personal experience. McCall's patterns are quite good in quality too. Different to my PDF sewing patterns which have a seam allowance of 1 cm these patterns have either 1,5 cm seam allowance or none. Find out more when you watch the video.

Over the next months we will be sewing with Ottobre sewing patterns and not my videos, as I am busy preparing my super spring collection in the background. Since I can't produce my patterns at the speed a larger comany can, I will guide you through other pattern companies that I like. Feel free to suggest your favorite too.
