Using a Spray bottle of Water & back of her curling iron @ 220°. When she got that where she liked it, then she added a clear silicone with a small paintbrush to cover up the rough front edge.
When she mentions smoothing the permatease on the top of her wig (curling iron at 180 to 220° ) that was after she watched this video of mine:
