In this video, I use OM Systems new camera the OM1, to photograph Long Tailed Tits in flight. Photographing from my private hide, I use the 300mm F4 Pro lens and Pro Capture High. The Long Tailed Tits are baited to to fly into a `bird paste` mixture that I make myself.
This is the recipe :
1 Cheap Supermarket Sliced White Loaf. 250gms of melted lard. 16oz boiling water. I cup full of bird seed/sunflower hearts. This is all mixed up with a beater on a Kenwood Chef until it leaves the sides of the bowl. It sis then moulded into balls and placed in the fridge to harden.
