KulturDocs webinar

Описание к видео KulturDocs webinar

The ASPJ in conjunction with FestivALT held a compelling discussion about KulturDocs - a new three-episode online documentary series exploring the vibrant world of contemporary Jewish artists in Poland.

Hosted by Canadian-Jewish theatre creator Michael Rubenfeld, now resident of Krakow, the series showcases inspiring talents such as musician Mikolaj Trzaska, performer Betty Q, and young artists Marcella Szablowska and Ezra Wojakowski. Through exploring the differing realities of each of these unique artists, KulturDocs delves into the intricate dynamics of the contemporary Polish-Jewish context.

The event featured an open conversation about the reactions Jewish Polish artists have encountered since October 7. Shedding light on the intersection of art, identity and the current sociopolitical climate.

KulturDocs partners include: Ashkenaz Festival Toronto; Asylum Arts, NYC; & Australian Society of Polish Jews and their Descendants (ASPJ), Melbourne.

The KulturDocs series was financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland “Public Diplomacy 2024” grant.
