Arlington County welcomed home Olympic gold medalist Torri Huske on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2024, in a celebration at the Long Bridge Aquatics & Fitness Center.

Huske, who was born and raised in Arlington County, is returning from the Paris 2024 Olympic Games where she won three gold medals and two silver medals.

The event doubled as a food drive in support of the Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC) -- in total, 920 pounds of food were collected.

Torri Huske began swimming with the Arlington Aquatic Club when she was 6 years old. She graduated from Yorktown High School, where she had a successful swimming career and was named a 29-time National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association (NISCA) All-American. In 2002, Torri Huske was inducted to the Yorktown Hall of Fame and Inspiration.
