Reflecting on her work role as program director and professor at the Iowa Writers’ Workshop – a world-renowned MFA program out of the University of Iowa that has graduated fiction writers and poets for over 80 years – Professor Chang discusses how assessment of creative writing informs the work of the program from the admissions process to the evaluation of student theses and beyond. Along with her role as at the University of Iowa, Professor Chang is a highly regarded novelist and short-story writer.
