Welcome to The Frequency Based Chakra Meditation
This is a non verbal meditation presented in various timings to focus on the 7 main chakras utilizing specifically tuned frequencies based on research findings referenced by: Dr. Tony Nader [a Harvard/MIT-trained neuroscientist and leader of the Transcendental Meditation movement]. There are 16 different iterations of this meditation. The most commonly used versions will likely be based on the standard practice of focusing from the Root up to the Crown chakra. These are available in 3 different time frames: 7 min. 15 min. & 30 min. In every meditation you'll hear a low bass note; the same pitch as the corresponding chakra frequency, but several octaves lower. The thinking behind this, is that the bass will functions as a ground. As part of your meditation practice you may want to chant the lowest version of each particular note, that you're able, as a means of producing resonance in your own body. In addition to the bass note, you'll hear Tibetan singing bowls. First a sustained tone followed by a percussive sound. These bowls have been specifically pitch matched to the frequency of each Chakra. The thinking behind this follows the principles of entrainment. In short, a phenomenon where one rhythmic system synchronizes with or follows another. There are many fascinating illustrations of this physics principle and it is the primary motivation behind this meditation idea. If you like, the precise timing of the bowl sounds that you hear, can be utilized to synchronize your breath work. Every meditation offered also has a corresponding version that includes what is known as “pink noise”. Pink Noise is used in meditation practice to induce deep relaxation, fostering a focused mental state. This will be a useful option for some but others may just hear static which is why there are 2 versions of each of the 8 meditations. One with pink noise and one without. The other iterations of this chakra meditation include 3 versions working from the crown down to the root. Although less common, this practice is referred to by Dr. Robert J. Gilbert in his lecture series on Sacred Geometry shown on the Gaia network. Again these are available in 7, 15 and 30 minute intervals, with and without pink noise. The final four meditations are 15 & 30 minute intervals working from the Root Chakra Up to the Crown and back down to the Root (with and without pink noise). The visuals in the videos are designed to reflect what is considered the standard colors of each chakra. There is no other significance except to visually indicate where you are in the meditation.
