This recording features a live concert performance of the great Israeli pianist Pnina Salzman (1922-2006) as a soloist in her favourite piano concerto (the conductor and orchestra are unknown). The recording was extracted from an old radio station reel in a very poor, almost unsalvageable condition by restorator R. Baumwollspinner and only underwent prior restoration. It has also gone through basic edits by recording artist Eyal Zaliouk in order to close the gaps and complete the music where the reel was cut. The recording is still in grave need of restoration and contains very heavy background noises. Nevertheless, it is the greatest performance I've ever heard of this piece, and I'm privileged to have taken part in finding and salvaging it amidst my efforts to preserve and transmit my teacher's legacy to the next generations.
