Asia at the intersection of digital transformation and AI

Описание к видео Asia at the intersection of digital transformation and AI

The Greater China region has been transformed by impressive technology innovators, government policy, changes in consumer preferences and enterprise-driven digital advances. With political and economic tensions growing between the Greater China region and the United States, Singapore has emerged to occupy a unique and pivotal role in fueling innovation throughout the world, including in Greater China.

Professor Terry Kramer, faculty director of UCLA Anderson’s Easton Technology Management Center, moderated a conversation with tech-oriented students and alumni who participated in the Center for Global Management’s recent global immersion course that traveled to Singapore. With its specific tech focus, the course generates an immediate appreciation of technology adoption in the Greater China and broader Asia regions, as well as provides a longer-term “mental map” for contextual leadership that can be applied in a variety of environments and timeframes to assess effective strategy.

Panelists shared their views on the most promising areas of innovation and broader learnings around contextual leadership, including the importance of understanding the unique context of the region. They also explained how Southeast Asia, which stands at the intersection of digital transformation and artificial intelligence, is poised for both opportunities and challenges. Its ability to navigate these changes will shape its future economic landscape.

Panel:
Ryan Tan (’19), Director, Temasek Trust
Chad Warhola (’25), Territory Manager, Boston Scientific
Mana Yamaguchi (’24), Vice President of Global Inclusive Marketing Strategy, Lionsgate
