The talk dealt with how the combination of simple acts of kindness with a quick mind can impact any situation of your life for the better through the experiences of Mrs. Anita Pratap as a war correspondent and journalist. She shared with the audience three anecdotes from her life which brought home all the messages she wanted to convey - that it's indeed good to be good. Anita Pratap is an expatriate writer and a journalist by profession. She has won numerous awards for her work including the auspicious George Polk Award in 1997 for excellence in TV reporting. Having a keen interest in international politics, she authored "Island of Blood" based on her experiences in reporting the appalling crimes committed by Terror regimes across Srilanka, Afghanistan, India and other South Asian nations This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
