Let’s say that you want to apply a color to text in a cell. To do this, make sure you are on the home tab at the top of the worksheet. then, left click on the cell you want to a color to, in this example, cell C2, so it is highlighted. Next, in the font section, near the top of the worksheet, left click on the down arrow next to the Capital A with a color bar underneath it. And a drop down box will appear, showing a variety of basic colors. I’m going to choose this lighter green, so left click on it and the text is now that color.

Now let’s say that you want a color that is not a basic color say pink, I'm going to left click and drag over cells C3 thru C6, which are now highlighted. Again, ill left click on the text color icon and at the bottom of the drop down menu, I'm going to left click on more colors and a color palate will appear. In this I'm going to left click on a pink color, and now that text is all pink.
