Today, I'm excited to share a recipe for a unique dish called Takla Bhaji, made from cassia tora. This flavorful sabzi is not only delicious but also packed with nutrients.
Let's start by gathering our ingredients. You'll need fresh cassia tora leaves, onions, tomatoes, green chilies, and a few spices. This combination brings out the natural flavors of the greens.
First, we wash the cassia tora leaves thoroughly to remove any dirt. Then, chop them finely. In a pan, heat some oil and add mustard seeds. Once they start to splutter, toss in chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
Next, add the chopped tomatoes and green chilies. Let them cook until the tomatoes soften. It's time to add our main ingredient – the cassia tora leaves. Stir everything together, and season with salt, turmeric, and red chili powder.
Cook it covered for about 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together. The bright green color of the leaves will make your dish look vibrant and inviting.
Once done, serve it hot with chapati or rice. This Takla Bhaji is not just nutritious but also a great way to explore traditional flavors.
